Rocky Road to Berlin (Ukrainian: Я, Побєда і Берлін) is a 2024 Ukrainian movie directed by Olga Ryashi, based on the novel of the same name by the musician Andriy Kuzmenko from 2006.
Production to place in Kyiv, Lviv and Berlin. The official premiere took place on April 14, 2024.
Plot
editThe young talented musician Kuzma bought an old rusty "Pobeda" car in the early 90's to impress his girlfriend Barbara. As she refuses his offer to leave Lviv for a Eurotrip, she tell him to focus on his music skills and should focus on his first upcoming concert. While Kuzma looks for a potential buyer of his "Pobeda", he get talked into a three days trip to Berlin so his friend Bard can exchange the car for a Mercedes-Benz. Unlike planed the trip turns out more hectic, all goes wrong. Both have the trip of there lives and become best friends. Kuzma finds out that he is a talented musician and returns to Lviv on time to perform with his band and brings a Mercedes-Benz W140 with him.
