Synopsis

edit

Remi Milligan: Lost Director explores the life of Remi Milligan, a fictional cult filmmaker known for his bizarre and poorly-made movies that gained a devoted following in North London. The film documents his early career, rise to a peculiar form of fame, and eventual mysterious disappearance in 2006. Through a series of interviews with Milligan’s family, friends, collaborators, and fans, as well as footage from his filmography, the film provides a humorous and touching portrait of an eccentric artist. It also features the completion of Milligan's unfinished project, Satsuman 2, adding a poignant layer to the story of a director who left an indelible mark on his fans despite his unconventional and erratic approach to filmmaking.
