Ravi Mani, is a gifted Indian Pastor, evangelist, and Bible teacher based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. He is the founder of Victory International AG Worship Centre Charitable Trust. He is known for his revival preaching; he preaches with an earnestness and energy that is warmly received by his listeners. His preaching's have inspired tens of thousands of preachers to strive for greater effectiveness in their proclamation of God’s Word.

Biography edit

Ravi Mani was born on August 16, 1971, in Bangalore, India, and is the second son of Mani Anand and Janamma Mani. He graduated from Basaveshwara Boys High School, a public school in the city of Bangalore, India, and attended Basaweshwara Pu And Degree College university in Bangalore, India, where he studied B.com but did not graduate. He is the 2nd son in his family, while he was in his secondary school, he worshipped with his mother at St. Mary's Basilica, Bangalore and later followed her to the Assemblies of God Church in Bangalore. He was a Cricket celebrity as a fast bowler, during his college days and was playing for the Karnataka 1st Division cricket clubs Karnataka State Cricket Association, later by the fervent prayers of his mother Janamma, he made the big decision to devote his life to God. He worked in the secular world as Marketing Executive until the year 2001.

Ministry edit

In 1996, Ravi Mani was ordained and preached his first sermon and became an Assemblies of God minister. During the next 12 years, he became the founder and senior pastor of Victory International Assembly of God Worship Centre (formerly known as New Bethel AG Church), which has grown from 1200 members to 10,000 members in 5 different linguistic services on each Sunday services. And he planted village churches in 22 Districts of Karnataka. He was broadcasting his message in the early stage of his ministry on radio programs through FEBA network and then he began using television broadcasts from 2002 onwards in the Kannada language.  He is currently affiliated with SIAG (South India Assemblies of God), and he is also the Presbyter with the Central District of SIAG.

On January 8, 1997, Ravi Mani married Susan Ravi, who later became the Associate Pastor of Victory International AG Worship Centre. They have a son, Joshua (born April 12, 1998), and an elder daughter, Jessica (born February 28, 2003), and the youngest daughter Josephine (born October 29, 2008). His son Joshua, is also involved in ministry, after his graduation in Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Systems at University of South Wales, UK.

Ravi Mani is also the President at Karnataka Calvary Karunya Charitable Trust, India – Chikkaballapura, Karnataka recognised by the Child Welfare Committee of the Government of Karnataka through which more than 30 destitute and orphan children are cared for and given good education in our Children Home at Chikkaballapura, Karnataka.  

Ravi Mani is also the President at TLM India Charitable Trust, IndiaBangalore, Karnataka through which he is striving for the upliftment of the poor, downtrodden, and underprivileged in the society irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

It is with great joy that he shares with all and also to film actors, and many political leaders and government officials; the Good News of Jesus Christ, and prays for all the people of the region and makes them experience God’s Love in their lives.

The contributions that Rev. Dr. Ravi Mani is rendering to this society were conferred as a way of honoring and he was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity on 3rd March 2016 by the True Light for Asia Biblical Seminary which is accredited by IATA & TLFA International, Candidate Member, ATA.

Community Development Programs edit

CHRISTIAN DEVELOPMENT BOARD IN KARNATAKA

Ravi Mani headed the delegation of Karnataka United Christians Front - United Christian Forum for Human Rights and met the former chief minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa in the year 2011, requesting the Government to set up a Karnataka Christian Development Board (KCDB). The former Chief Minister as promised in the 2011 budget, allocated Rs. 50 crores for the Christians and it’s the first of its kind in Karnataka. This move was welcomed by all the Christians as that was the period when many attacks were happening on the churches in Karnataka and it brought good thinking about the Government that this would be a very good development for the community as a whole. Gradually, the budget has increased to Rs. 200 crores by the various governments as of 2024.[1]

WEDDING HELP FOR THE POOR GIRLS

Through the NGO, Ravi Mani is helping poor family's of the girl marriage to perform the weddings of daughters whose families can’t afford a wedding.

DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATION NEEDS TO CHILDREN

From 2011, around 350 children from the economically weaker section are been helped with the educational needs for their academics every year and also more than 10 children are given scholarships to pay their academic education fees every year. 

FREE HEALTH CAMPS / FREE EYE CHECKUP CAMPS / VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Under the guidance and leadership of Ravi Mani, every year on the Good Friday service, in association with the different medical teams of doctors and the staff of the hospital, specialized in Eye, Cardiology, General Medicine and Diabetics, hundreds of people are getting benefited of free consultation. Free heart surgeries and cataract surgeries were done with the help of generous donors and through the NGO headed by Ravi Mani.

HELPING DESTITUTE WOMEN IN TAILORING TRAINING

Through the NGO, destitute women get trained in tailoring and embroidery, and fashion design courses to sustain their livelihoods with dignity by earning themselves. With trained professionals, these beneficiaries will learn and develop skills in tailoring and embroidery work on sarees, and blouse pieces. As they are well trained, they are surveyed on their skill status and will be provided with a new Sewing machine, Toolkits and with this making them to earn Rs. 500/- per day and survive on their own and live with dignity.

HOPE AND COMFORT, HELPING THE POOR WIDOWS

Since 2005 during the Christmas season, a gift package for each individual containing - 1 month's food groceries, a new saree, and a delicious meal to the poor widow and her family is been gifted. Almost 350 widows are blessed by this charity act. There will be overflowing joy in everyone who will be part of this charity.[2]
