Raul Salazar is a former Peruvian ambassador. He served as Peru's ambassador to several countries during his career, fostering diplomatic ties and promoting Peru's interests on the global stage.

In a career spanning several decades he held many leadership positions, serving as the Deputy Head of Mission to the the Organization of American States,[1] and as the Director for Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation in 2016.[2][3] His service saw deployments to the Peruvian Embassies in Japan, Kenya, the United States, Spain and Hungary.

One of Salazar's notable appointments was as Peru's ambassador to Hungary, where he played a crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing mutual interests in areas such as trade, cultural exchange, and cooperation on regional and global issues.[4] He also served as Ambassador to Serbia,[5] and Bosnia and Herzegovina.[6]

Retirement edit

Salazar retired in 2023, on his 70th birthday.[7]
