Rara Apostolic Church In Zion is a christian denomination which originates from Botswana. The church was founded in a small remote village named Tsetsebye in the Northern side of Botswana. The founder of the church being Bishop Masilo Brick Manaka (01/01/1956-25/06/2005) and his wife Mrs Rosinah Manaka (now Archbishop Rosina Manaka of Rabi Apostolic Church In Zion) and other church leaders like Reverend Emmanuel Madome (now Bishop Emmanuel Madome of Rabi Apostolic Church In Zion), Reverend Taolo Lesoso (MHSRIP), Reverend Mooketsi Lesiba and others. The church was founded in the early 1980's but was legally registered under the societies act in 1989.During it's birth years or conception the church was only based at the Northern Central regions of the country. The founder was usually based on Selebi Phikwe but as time went on the church grew and expanded to other regions of the country. To date, Rara Apostolic Church In Zion has more than 100 branches countrywide and at least 2 branches out of the country in South Africa, Mahikeng.
Following the passing of the founder of the church Bishop Manaka in 2005, an instruction was made by the Bishop before his departure from this world to be taken to Maun where there was a man named Reverend Bapati Michael Aaron Wright. The main reason was to leave the church under his care after he passes away. Reverend Bapati Michael Aaron Wright assumed the leadership of the church in 2005 immediately after the passing away of the former bishop and was now ordained to the post of Bishop of the church.
