Biography

Rahul Trivedi was born on 19 September,1974 in Sikar, Rajasthan. He was educated at Tagore Public School in Sikar. As a child, he was interested in cartooning and his cartoons got published in Childrens' magazines like Balhans and newspaper Rajasthan Patrika. He continued his education from Darbar Senior Secondary School and Ratkhana School in Jaipur.He simultaneously got involved in Jawahar Kala Kendra's Childrens' Theatre Workshops, which was the beginning of his journey as an actor. He passed out from school in 1991. He studied Applied Arts at the Rajasthan School Of Art and graduated in 1996. Further, he did his post-graduation in dramatics from the University of Rajasthan. At that point, he started acting professionally in plays.

Career

Rahul started acting professionally in plays at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Ravindra Manch etc. He also performed in Goa, Aurangabad and Jodhpur. He acted in plays like Haye Mera Dil, Jis Lahore Nai Vikhya, Andha Yug, Anji, Aadhi Rat Ke Bat etc. He directed a few plays such as The Great Rajamaster Drama Company. At the same time, he acted in a reality show Hath Se Hath Mila for BBC's World Service Trust, London. He acted in TV commercials on AIDS awareness with BBC as well. He also acted in some serials for Doordarshan (DD) Rajasthan. He also worked in Rajasthan Patrika and Patrika TV as a Special Feature Reporter. Then, he worked in Jaipur Publicity Centre as copyrighter and designer. Around 2003, he moved to Mumbai to work in Bollywood. His first serial was Krishna Arjun. He proceeded to act in Rahe Tera Aashirwad, Palko Ki Chao Me etc. His most well-known role was the character of Dumroo in Baba Aiso Var Dhundho. His role was very popular among the audience. After a brief gap, he stared as Jhumroo in Prem Ya Paheli-Chandrakanta. He proceeded to work in Hum Paanch Phir Se, Main Bhi Ardhangini and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. He also worked in two films- Shagird (2011)and Love Aaj Kal (2020). (Short term roles have not been noted).

Personal Life

He is married to Lovika Trivedi, who also works in the entertainment industry. Rahul Trivedi also acted in a play Chal Hat Ped Kahinka written and directed by Lovika Trivedi. Their hometown is Jaipur. He also taught acting at Heads And Tales Studios And Academy, a school for performing arts established by Lovika Trivedi.
