Draft:RA MAJOR (British Musician)

Jason Moorwood (born November 24, 1971), known professionally as RA MAJOR (stylised in all caps), is a British musician and music producer based in Suffolk, UK.

Jason began his musical journey in 1990, with the purchase of his first electric guitar. Once over those first speed bumps he quickly started to progress, eventually picking up the Bass which opened new avenues with other local musicians. In 1994 he joined Aly Kennen's folk band as a bass player and occasional guitarist which was largely acoustic-based, they recorded one E.P together as a band before everyone started to drift off to various Universities.

As the electronic music scene started to grow in the 90s, so did Jason's interest in both the music and culture. Instrumental in helping to establish a number of club nights and raves it was only a matter of time before Jason started producing his own dance music.

After a few years tinkering with various synths & DAWs with no real intent to do anything with it the COVID pandemic struck and like many others during this time Jason turned to old interests and hobbies to keep himself occupied and RA MAJOR was born.

Releasing music via various distributors to popular digital outlets including Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music RA's audience is slowly growing with a current listener base of around 70,000 people. He also DJ's a mix of his own and other's music and is a resident/promoter at Slothy Sessions in Ipswich where he currently resides with his family and their much loved puggle, Bitty.
