R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) is an upcoming science fiction satire film project written and directed by Alex Proyas. Proyas adapted the screenplay from the 1920 Czech play of the same name by Karel Čapek and also produced the film. It stars Mallory Jansen, Lindsay Farris, and Anthony LaPaglia.

Production

Alex Proyas announced that he had written a film adaptation of Karel Čapek's 1920 Czech play R.U.R. in August 2023. Proyas would also direct and produce alongside Morris Ruskin. ^[1] ^[2]

The only actor cast when the film was first announced was Lindsay Farris, portraying the general manager of Rossum's Universal Robots, Harry Domin.^[1]
