Quant Analyst What is or are quant analysts? Quant Analysts or being reffered to as "Quants" are people who specify in the financial industry, and also use mathematical and statical ways to study, measure the value, and evalute the financial techniques. These type of people specify in Trading. They messure the value of certain trade markets, and use the mathmetical ways to measure it up to a sum. Quants work in many types of firms, including: Securites Industries, commercial banks, investment banks, wealth managment firms and so many more. They also Asses and manage finanical risks in certain trade markets, thet implement trading strageties, to reduce the risks of the trade markets and they try to maximazee the profits, and maximize the potential of the market. They apply scientific methods finacial analysis and the quants try to develope and orginaze documenting, displaying and communicating key financial data, its also good to note if your planning on becoming an Quant analyst, that the days are very long and its not fit for everybody.
Qualifications
To become an Quant Analyst or "Quant" you typically have to get an bachelors degree in finance, data analyicts, economics, mathematics statics and computer science.
Its also good to note that most quants are eligble and able to understand the following:
Statical analysis, Linear Algebra, Financial reporting, Calculus, Financial modeling, And finacial analysis.
Salaries
The average salary for an Quant analyst is 132,473 dollars in the US.
But it varries on which Quant company you work for and also the qualifiactions and the Experience you have.
Pros and Cons
Pros: Great salaries, and the job demand is very high. Can get bonuses for over 750k us dollars. The Envoirment is good, there are many companys out there that would pay extra then the normal salary.
Cons: The Days are very long, and its mostly not for the "weak"
