"Prosthetic Head" is a song by the American rock band Green Day, released as a promotional single from their fifth studio album Nimrod^[1] exclusively in Germany.^[2]^[3]

Lyrics

The song's lyrics talk about Armstrong's opinions about Hollywood stars being fake.^[4]

Reception

Alan di Perna said the song comes to a halt on "familiar missed opportunities and emotional dead ground once again"^[5] The Spokesman Review said it was a "typical ticked–off kiss–off"^[6]

Live performances

The song was performed live at the Electric Factory on 14 November 1997.^[7]
