Prati Shirdi Temple edit
The Prati Shirdi Temple is a replica of the famous Shirdi Sai Baba Temple located in the village of Shirgaon near Pune, Maharashtra, India. Built in devotion to Sai Baba of Shirdi, it serves as an accessible alternative to the main Shirdi temple for residents of Pune and Mumbai. The temple aims to provide a similar darshan experience to devotees within proximate reach.
History edit
The Prati Shirdi Temple was constructed from 2003 to 2007 by devotees Y.D. Phadke and Prakash Deole. They envisioned creating an accessible replica of Shirdi for locals unable to make the pilgrimage. The temple complex was designed to mirror the main sections of Shirdi including the Dwarkamai, Gurusthan, and Samadhi Mandir. Intricately carved marble idols and continuously playing holy chants evoke the aura of Shirdi. While not as expansive as the original, Prati Shirdi offers the key highlights for devotees to pay respects without traveling far.
Location edit
The temple is located in the village of Shirgaon, off the Mumbai-Pune Highway near the town of Talegaon. It is about 35km from Pune and can be reached in around 1 hour by private transport. Trains, buses, and share autos are available from Pune and Mumbai to Talegaon, which is 9km from the temple.
Temple sections edit
The main sections replicating Shirdi include:
Dwarkamai - Contains a life-size marble Sai Baba idol, wooden bed, palanquin, and continuous prayers, replicating his residence.

Marble idols - Beautifully carved idols of Sai Baba and other deities are spread around the temple.
