Picturestart was founded in 2017 by Erick Feig and headquartered in West Hollywood, California.[3][4] Erik Feig is an American media executive and producer whose films have collectively grossed over $13 billion at the box office worldwide.[5]

Picturestart is backed by Warner Bros., Nordic Entertainment Group, Scholastic Corporation and Endeavor Content.[6][7]

Discovery of Voice” is a central theme in in the company’s content and storytelling endeavors. The phrase is meant to speak not just to youth culture but to a broader sense with the purpose of establishing identity and telling stories about people finding themselves, defining themselves, finding their purpose, their truth and coming of age - at any age.[8]

Discovery of Voice is telling diverse stories with diverse creatives in film, television and digital productions for wide and broad audiences and passionate, deep fandom communities.[9]

Partnerships

In 2020, Picturestart joined forces with Scholastic Entertainment, the media division of Scholastic and producer of the upcoming Clifford The Big Red Dog feature film, Goosebumps live-action series and more to transform Animorphs, the mega-popular book series from the 1990s, into a feature film.[10]

Picturestart also partnered with HBO Max and Warner Records to release the official soundtrack for the new HBO Max original feature-length film, Unpregnant in 2020.[11]
