Phil's radio career started in 1990 with a weekly radio show on a Saturday morning at Radio Halton, Halton General Hospitals inhouse Radio Station.
Fast forward to 1994 when he got the chance to work for a "Proper" Radio Station, he was lucky enough to get a paid job at Liverpool's Radio City as a receptionist, it was here that he learnt his craft and was eventually offered so work to drive pre-recorded shows for both City FM and Radio City Gold.
1997 he applied for a presenters job for a new station opening in Wigan, Wish FM was a brand new station opening on 1st April 1997, although he was turned down as a presenter he was offered a position as head of production which he was thrilled about and of course accepted, sadly after a couple of years he left the station after a number of issues and differences with management.
After a few years working as a boom operator within the TV history as well as being a freelance presenter, he popped up on a number of radio stations including The Bay in Lancaster.
He Later returned after a number of year to radio working for Central Radio, Dune FM to name a few.
These days he can be found still presenting every Friday evening between 7pm and midnight on Mighty Radio in Southport with his "Simply 80's" show.
