Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by JSFarman 6 months ago. |
- Comment: Sources only talk about Swipecast instead of Fitzpatrick. Notability is not inherited from founding a notable company, and you may be better off creating an article on Swipecast. Sungodtemple (talk • contribs) 14:05, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: References need to provide extensive and specific coverage of Peter Fitzpatrick via independent, reliable sources. JSFarman (talk) 17:34, 3 November 2023 (UTC)

Early Life and Education edit

Career edit
Wall Street Experience[4] edit
Prior to venturing into the fashion industry, Fitzpatrick spent almost a decade on Wall Street. He worked most recently for BlueMountain Capital, a credit hedge fund with assets totaling $22 billion, where he focused on high-yield and distressed debt investments. Before joining BlueMountain, he worked at JPMorgan Chase, covering high-yield credit investments in the telecom, media, and technology sectors.

After leaving BlueMountain, Fitzpatrick began making angel investments in the fashion space. One investment in 2010 was in Silent Models, which at the time, was seeking to launch operations in New York[5]. In 2012, he took over operations of the business, helping grow it into one of the leading modeling agencies in New York. In 2020, the agency was rebranded as Official Models NY[6]
Launch of Swipecast edit
Building on insights gained from clients and talent represented by Official Models, Fitzpatrick launched Swipecast, an app-based platform for hiring freelance creative talent, including models, photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists and more. Swipecast launched in August 2015 with extensive coverage in Business of Fashion[7], Vogue[8], Forbes[9], Harpers’ Bazaar[10] and numerous other fashion and tech publications.
Speaking Events and Professional Engagements edit
Peter has delivered presentations at Business of Fashion’s Voices[7] events in London, emphasizing the technological evolution in talent management, and was recognized by the Observer as one of the "25 Most Relevant Fashion Figures in 2017[11]".
Fitzpatrick served as a jury member as part of Document Journal’s 2018 “The New Vanguard[12],” a worldwide competition aimed at discovering new, emerging photographers. Other jury members include Nick Vogelson, Olivier Rizzo, Mario Sorrenti, Doug Lloyd and Willie Vanderperre.
