Pawan Aggarwal (Hindi: पवन अग्रवाल; born 28 April 1966) is an Indian businessman, hotelier, social activist, and politician from Ambala, Haryana. He has been involved in various political and social activities in the region, representing the Congress Party in multiple elections.
Early Life and Education
editPawan Aggarwal was born in Ambala City, Haryana. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees and holds an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India (AIII) certification.
Political Career
editAggarwal has been active in local politics since 1989. He has contested and won multiple municipal elections as a candidate for the Indian National Congress (INC).
- 2005: Elected as a municipal councillor for Ambala.
- 2013: Elected as a municipal corporator.[2]
- 2006 & 2015: Elected to the District Planning Committee.
In the 2020 Ambala mayoral election, his wife contested as the Congress candidate but did not win.[3]
