Parade Technologies, Ltd. (TWSE: 4966)[1] is a fabless integrated circuit (IC) semiconductor developer specializing in high-speed interface[2] and display technologies. The company was founded in 2005, and is headquartered in San Jose, California, United States, with design centers in Taiwan, PRC, United States and Ireland, and offices in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. As of March 2023, Parade Technologies has 745 employees worldwide.
History
editParade Technologies, Inc., the US subsidiary of Parade Technologies Ltd, was founded in Santa Clara, California in 2005[3][4] with venture capital investments from Intel Capital, UMC Capital, Asia Vest Partners and Legend Capital. The founding team, Jack Zhao, Mark Qu, Jimmy Chiu, and Ding Lu, are semiconductor industry veterans with experience in high-speed interfaces and display technologies.
The parent company, Parade Technologies, Ltd. held its initial public offering (IPO)[5] in 2011 on the Taipei Exchange.[6] (TPEx).
In 2015, Parade acquired the touchscreen IC business from Cypress Semiconductor.[7]
In 2020, Parade acquired Fresco Logic Inc.[8]
Parade has received industry recognitions,[9] nominations[10], and awards[11], and is acknowledged as a supplier of IC devices[12][13] for high-speed transmission[14][15] and display[16][17] applications.
Products
editParade Technologies semiconductor IC devices are designed into high-bandwidth standards-based display and interface products. The company’s IC device lines include:
- High-speed Interface controllers that support popular interface standards, including DisplayPort, HDMI, USB[18][19], SATA and PCIe[20][21]
- DisplayPort[22] and eDP (embedded DisplayPort) display panel timing controllers (TCONs).
- Source Driver controllers that support SIPI and Integrated Stream Protocol (iSP) standards.

Parade Technologies works with tier-1 manufacturers to design its ICs into a wide variety of consumer and industrial products[24], including desktop and notebook computers, tablets, televisions, smart phones, display monitors, computer accessories, data centers and automotive[25] applications.
Industry affiliations and standards development
editParade Technologies is a member[26] of several standard-setting industry associations, including VESA[27] (Video Electronics Standards Association), MIPI Alliance[28], USB-IF[29] (USB Implementers Forum), PCI-SIG[30] (Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group) and the Universal Stylus Initiative[31][32]. The company has made several contributions to the development of the VESA DisplayPort[33][34] and other[35] video interface standards.
