Osato Mary Idehen, professionally known as Nina Shezz (born 23 July 1996), is a Nigerian songwriter, singer and artiste.[1] She emerged onto the music scene with her first single "Without You" in 2019 but gained popularity with her hit single “Eledumare” in 2021.

Early life and Education

Nina Shezz was born on 23, July 1996 in Lagos Island, Lagos State but originally hails from Edo State. She was raised in Lagos where she completed her elementary education before earning a degree in Computer Science from the National Open University, Nigeria.[2]

Career

Nina Shezz musical journey began in the youth choir of Treasure Field Church in Lagos, where her talent flourished, igniting her passion for music. Drawing inspiration from her church roots, Nina Shezz transitioned into songwriting and sharing her music on social media platforms, catching the attention of renowned artist Frank Edwards. Their collaboration led to the production of her debut single, "Without You," in 2019, followed by the acclaimed track "Eledumare" in 2021, which was reviewed by Daily Monitor in Uganda.[3]

With over 68,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Nina Shezz has since continued to bless audiences with soul-stirring compositions such as "Unconditional Love," "Ayo," "Wonderfully Made," and "Majo." Her versatility was showcased in collaborations with DJ Horphuray on "Only," Street Church and Greatman Takit on "Morning Devotion," and IfeMoj on "Doh Doh Doh," earning widespread recognition and acclaim. With over 700,000 streams on Spotify alone for "Morning Devotion."[4]

Nina Shezz's influence in the gospel music scene continues to grow, touching lives with her uplifting melodies and powerful messages. She has also performed alongside Sinach and Judikay and performed at events like Love and Light Fest, Aramanda amongst others.[5]
