The Ortomi Gen 4 was announced in August 2023 through a Kickstarter campaign The campaign had 937 backers who pledged $96,920(US) of the $15,217 needed to launch them. The Ortomi brand started as a high school student project, and soon after that they made a second generation, Ortomi gen 1 (the initial generation of the Ortomi was generation 0). The Ortomi Gen 4 released to the public in November of 2023, and came in 6 colors[1], Blossom(pink), Buttercup(yellow), Sprout(green), Raindrop(blue), Lavender(purple), and Licorice(black). The buyers could also select an animal beanie, the different hats[2] are: Pig, Bear, Frog, Cow, Duck, Panda, Bee, and Bunny. They have 7 different moods, over 50 random expressions, over 20 motion interactions, over 20 sounds(simple beeps and chirps), a silent switch, and a 20 hour battery life with a battery check gesture(hold upside down). The 7 different moods that they have are: idle, happy, sad, asleep, bored, angry, and sad. Soon(to be updated), the Ortomi company will announce keyring carrying cases, and communication between multiple Ortomi.
