Olusegun Daramola (Olúṣẹ́gun Dáramọ́lá in Yorùbá) (born on September 4, 1989) is a distinguished nigerian spiritual teacher.[1], author, and Babalawo. His life's mission revolves around guiding individuals to realize their divine purpose, unlock the infinite potential of their own Ori, and lead an abundant life free from various forms of suffering. His expertise lies in imparting the teachings of Ifá and Òrìsà Spirituality to a global audience.[2]

Early Life edit

Olusegun Daramola's journey began in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. His early years were spent in the nurturing environment of his parents and uncles. His mother, Olatorera, was a businesswoman, Olorisa while his grandparents from both paternal & maternal lineage are Babaláwo & Olorisa in Okemesi-Ekiti, his father, Ayowole retired from the Power Holding Company of Nigeria also a practitioner.

Olusegun's foundational education took place at The Apostolic Church Nursey and primary School[3] institution, where he earned his First Leaving School Certificate.

Government Day Secondary School, Fate, Ilorin (2001-2007) edit

Progressing to secondary education, he obtained the National Examinations Council Senior School Certificate, laying the groundwork for his academic journey.[4]

Jibsorek College (2017) edit

Taking a step further, he acquired the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) certificate.

Kwara State College of Education, Oro (2007-2010) edit

Specializing in Christian Religious Studies/Economics, Olusegun expanded his academic horizons during this period.

Olusegun initiated his professional journey in his early twenties by serving as a radio freelancer[5] at Midland FM, a state-owned FM station in Kwara State, Nigeria. His early career also included a role as the online social media manager for Microorganismos Efectivos Company[6], an international brand based in Fuerteventura, Spain. During the year 2015, Olusegun's foray into the fashion industry commenced with his involvement as one of the Nigerian correspondents for BlackNBold Magazine[7][8]

Entrepreneurship and Media edit

In 2018, Olusegun founded Orisa TV, later rebranded as Adulawo TV, a platform dedicated to Ifá & Òrìsà Spirituality. As the Founder and Media Mogul of Adulawo TV, he has played a significant role in promoting cultural diversity and understanding through various media channels. Olusegun has also delved into radio and digital media, showcasing his versatility and commitment to spiritual and cultural awareness.[9]

Meeting with Former Osun Commissioner for Culture and Tourism edit

During a courtesy visit to the Osun Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Adebisi Obawale, Olusegun Daramola, Chief Executive Director of Adulawo TV, discussed the importance of preserving and promoting Yorùbá culture. Dr. Obawale emphasized the significance of Yorùbá cultural elements, including language, dress, and music, expressing the need for Yorùbá people to take pride in their cultural heritage. The meeting also highlighted initiatives to preserve and showcase Yorùbá culture globally, with discussions on inter-relationships, conferences, and programs to enhance cultural understanding.[10]

Olusegun's spiritual journey began at the age of 12 when he developed an interest in the ancient spirituality of his foreparents, particularly Ifá and Òrìsà traditions. Inspired by his forbears, powerful diviners, he immersed himself in the study of different ancient spiritual systems worldwide. He showed an early proficiency in predictions, and his mother shared powerful experiences regarding his birth and prophetic insights into his identity. Olusegun pursued further knowledge in radio and television, teaching himself the art of speaking on these platforms. In 2016, he embraced his role as a spiritual teacher and leader, dedicating himself to spreading the teachings of Ifá & Òrìsà Spirituality globally.

Olusegun's parents, Olatorera and Ayowole, played pivotal roles in his upbringing. His early years were marked by inquisitiveness, a love for nature, and meditation. He went through a growth spurt at the age of 15, gaining insights from elders due to his affinity for spending time with them. Bàbá Olusegun Daramola believed in that the Future of Ifá & Òrìsà Spirituality is bright and the Future is now. Olusegun is initiated into the mysteries of Ifá Spirituality and various Òrìsà, including Ọbàtálá, Ogoko, Èṣù, Ogun, Obaluaye, Osun, Eri, Egbe, and Egúngún. He has dedicated himself to coaching, teaching, and speaking, aiming to help individuals discover their divine purpose and unlock the potential of their Ori (higher self). Through his teachings, he emphasizes that individuals are the answers they have been seeking.
