Oluebube Amarauche Chukwu (born 25th August 1988) is a Nigerian politician, academic scholar,[1] and businessman from Abia State.  He was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Due Process and Procurement in June 2023 by the incumbent Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti.[2]

Early life edit

Born and raised in Nsukka, Enugu State, Oluebube hails from Isuochi, Umunneochi, Abia State. He is the second of five children born to Chinomnso Amarauche Chukwu (Nee Chukwumerije) and Prof Amarauche Chukwu[3].

After graduating from the University of Nigeria Nsukka Secondary School in 2008, Oluebube pursued a career in Mass Communication at the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in 2011, his Master of Arts in 2015, and Doctor of Philosophy specialized in Public Relations and Advertising in 2018.[4] He is also a licensed project manager and business consultant.[5]

Following graduation in 2012, Oluebube fulfilled the mandatory National Youth Service Corps Programme commitment by teaching at St. Luke's Grammar School in Ibadan, Oyo State. While pursuing postgraduate degrees, he worked as a consultant for ByteWorks Technology Solutions[6] in Enugu State and the Songhai Nigeria[7] Partnership Initiative (GTE) in Abia State.

After attaining his doctorate, Oluebube returned to the University of Nigeria Nsukka as a senior lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, serving from 2019 to 2022.

Politics edit

Oluebube was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant (SSG) on due process and procurement to the Abia State Governor alongside thirty (30) other aides in June 2023.[8] He plays a key role in spearheading various state projects. Notable initiatives included facilitating subsidized CAC business registrations through the Oluebube A Chukwu foundation[9][10] and the role he plays in various policymaking committees such as the Umuahia Catholic Church Investment Project, Bid Review Committee, Pension and Civil Service Reform Committee.[11][12][13]
