OP Corporate Bank plc (formerly Pohjola[2]) is a subsidiary of the Finnish financial services group OP Financial Group. OP Corporate Bank Lithuanian branch is registered in Lithuania[3]

History

In 2008, Pohjola Bank acquired leasing companies from the Finnish group Kesko[4] and began offering leasing services in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.

In 2011, Pohjola opened a branch in Estonia, followed by branches in Latvia in 2012 and Lithuania in 2013.

On 4 April 2016, Pohjola Bank was renamed OP Corporate Bank.[5][6]

The Lithuanian branch of OP Corporate Bank plc is the fifth-largest bank in Lithuania by the size of its business loans and leasing portfolio[7], and the sixth-largest by assets under management[8]. The bank is the third-largest provider of leasing services in Lithuania, holding approximately 20% of the market.

OP Financial Group

OP Corporate Bank is part of OP Financial Group, the largest financial services group in Finland, with over two million owner-customers and approximately 13,000 employees.[9] The group offers a wide range of banking and insurance services to private individuals and businesses.[10]

OP Corporate Bank plc is the largest subsidiary and the central bank of the group. The group's mission is to promote the sustainable prosperity, security, and well-being of its owner-customers and the regions it operates in. By 2025, OP Financial Group aims to become CO2 neutral concerning energy and fuel emissions (Scopes 1 and 2).[11]

Management

Since 1 January 2023, Leda Irzikeviciene has been the Country Manager of OP Corporate Bank plc's Lithuanian branch. Matias Huhtala has served as the Head of OP Corporate Bank's Baltic Banking[12] since 1 January 2015. Katja Keitaanniemi has been the President and CEO of OP Corporate Bank since 2018.[13]
