Noman Shah (Urdu: نعمان شاہ; born 1975) is a Pakistani inventor, computer scientist, and entrepreneur. He is founder of startup XEROTECH LTD..[1][2][3][4]
Early life and education edit
Shah was born in Bhakkar, Pakistan. He completed his Master of Science in computer science from the University of the Punjab.
Innovations and Inventions edit
On December 29, 2015, his first patent was granted United States patent number US9222743B1[5] Firearm safety device. On October 03, 2017, he obtained his second patent United States patent number US9779066B2[6] for Method and system for converting Punycode text to ASCII/Unicode text. Many of Shah's patents are filed in the United States, Britain, and Canada. [7]
Some of Shah's patents, assigned to Umm al Qura University were abandoned due to the University's IP Management Office became dysfunctional[citation needed].
His patents are cited by notable technology firms such as, Apple, Lenovo, Verisign, Amazon, Citrix Systems, IBM, Microsoft and Panasonic and well as Morgan Stanley and Sturm, Ruger & Co.[7]
