Nites TV was a file streaming website that hosted links and embedded videos, allowing users to stream or download movies for free. This site was closed for copyright infringement and piracy.[1][2][3]

History edit

The site was created in 2019,[3][4] and blocked and seized finally in April 2020.

Nites.tv hit the mainstream during the pandemic in March 2020, with news sites on several continents reporting on the platform seemingly out of nowhere and asking if that new website was legal or not, and that suspcious increased fast its popularity.

In May 2020, a new version of the site appeared with the domain Nites.is[5]

In January 2021, the site was identified as a "notorious market" by the U.S. government, along with The Pirate Bay and other piracy sites.[6] In October 2018, Telia Company, a Swedish ISP, was ordered to block FMovies.[1] They appealed the order.[7] That same month, the Motion Picture Association reported Nites TV and FMovies along with other piracy sites to the U.S. government.[8] Nites TV was blocked in Australia in December 2020, after a request in August.[9][10][11]

Nites.is acquires BFLIX edit

In October 2023, Nites.is acquires Bflix, another popular piracy site, and that fusion is completed in January 2024 with the end of BFlix website. Starting February 2024, BFlix website became inaccessible for all users and Nites.is website at the same time announced the merge.
