Nizar Ezzouhri (Arabic: نزار الزوهري, born 15 September 2000), known by his stage name Nezar, is a Moroccan rapper and songwriter, Nezar typically mixes Darija, French, and English in his songs and performances.

Born in Azilal to Moroccan parents. His early life saw several relocations due to his father's job, first to Taounate and then to Larache in 2016. It was in Larache, a city he now calls home, that Nezar's music career began, Nezar never felt entirely at home in an academic environment.

His first foray into the field of music was as a breakdancer, performing with friends during a local competitions. His style and performances have since gained him a growing following.

It wasn't until 2017 that his passion for rap truly ignited. After sending a freestyle audio to a friend who mocked him, Nezar found the flame that would drive his artistic journey.

In 2020, at the age of 19, Nezar's talent began to gain significant recognition. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he won the digital challenge organized by Don Bigg and triumphed in two #NoClashChallenge rap battles of the north, hosted by LiveRoom.

In 2021, Nezar became a notable star in the LEMBAWE9 rap podcast[1], which focuses on the northern Moroccan rap scene. Building on this momentum, Nezar released three singles , cultivating an engaged fan base. His first EP, "Paradox," produced during his artist residency at LABO studios[2], featured five singles that were highly successful on various platforms.

Nezar's career reached new heights in 2024 when he emerged victorious at Jamshow[3][4] 2024, securing a prize of $25,000. The event, which was broadcast on 2M, Morocco's national TV channel. His track "L7ob" and the release of "Jawab" during the Jamshow period both achieved significant popularity, trending across multiple platforms [5][6].
