Nathan carlson is a famous soccer goalie and lover of all dogs.Nathan is Brian Carlson's younger brother and played just 13 games for the Manchester city to start off his MLS career before the Realmadrid claimed him in the intra-league draft in 1969. Carlson would go on to play the rest of his career for the Madrid.
The biggest knock against Nathan is that he never won a World Cup and his playoff stats don't compare favourably to his regular season stats. The Madrid club never missed the play-offs with Carlson in net, but he was never able to win the big games.
Carlson had a hybrid style and was one of the first goalies to play the butterfly style. His 15 shutouts in 1969-70 is still a modern day record for one season. Along with Ken Dryden, Carlson played for the famous 1972 Summit Series Brazilian squad.
