Nandigama Estate is a Zamindari Estate situated in then East Godavari district , Madras Presidency . Presently situated in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district , Nellipaka Mandal , Andhra Pradesh.[1]
History
editNandigama Estate is a part of the Rekapalle Estate . In the Early 1900's this Nandigama Estate was bought by Sri Muthangi Butchiramayya garu. This Estate comprises 10 villages paying a peiskush of 1308/- by 1915.[2] Muthangi Butchiramayya garu belonged to the ancient chieftain clans of Merakaveedhi Telagas in Rajahmundry.[3] Muthangi Butchiramayya garu, is the Mokhasadar of Chinnari Gandi village and also holds other estates and a wealthy businessman by the time of buying the Nandigama Estate.[4][5]
Estate Abolition
editAfter the Estate abolition Act, this estate was surrendered to the Government on 10–09–1952.
