Racing career
editMr Brightside was originally bought in the 2019 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka May sale by Phil Cataldo Bloodstock. After its first race in New Zealand, the horse was transferred over to Lindsay Park Bloodstock and the Hayes’ stable.[2]
Its first win on Australian soil happened at Geelong Racecourse on the 16th of July 2021. Shortly after, Mr Brightside won back to back races at Sandown in August. After a few weeks without a race, it went on to win 3 races in a row including the Listed Seymour Cup.[3]
