Vijay Nirani is an Indian entrepreneur serving as the Managing Director of the Nirani Group and the Co-Founder of TruAlt Bioenergy.[1] Born in 1993, his background includes studies in accounting, finance, and family business management. [2] He currently leads TruAlt Bioenergy, a prominent Asian biofuels and bioenergy company. [3]
Early Life
editVijay Nirani hails from Mudhol, Karnataka, a town with a string agricultural tradition, particularly in sugarcane.[4] This environment likely fostered his interest in business and finance. He attended Jain International Residential School in Bangalore for his primary and secondary education. [5][6]
Family
editVijay Nirani comes from a family involved in politics and industry. His father, Dr. Murugesh R Nirani, is the former Minister for Large and Medium Scale industries and Minister for Mines and Geology in the Government of Karnataka, as well as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Bilgi constituency. [7] Other family members have also held political positions in the state, namely his uncle Shri. Hanamant Nirani, who has been a Member of the Legislative Council in Karnataka, representing North Karnataka. [8] His mother, Smt. Kamala Nirani, manages the educational institutions associated with their family group. [9] Vijay Nirani is married to Susmitha Vijay Nirani and they have two sons.
Career
editVijay Nirani is the Managing Director of the Nirani Group and the Co-Founder of TruAlt Bioenergy.[10] His work involved transforming traditional sugar mills into bioenergy parks. This approach utilizes sugarcane byproducts for the creation of sustainable energy through TruAlt Bioenergy. Notably, this strategy has led to the establishment of 2G ethanol plants in Karnataka.
