The Talkabout T800 is an FRS license free Two-way radio developed by Motorola Solutions in 2018. It is the successor to the T478 and is the 13th model in the series.[a][b] It has 22 channels, 121 interference eliminator codes (per channel), Bluetooth connectivity, Dual Channel monitoring, 7 NOAA weather channels and alerts, 4 ECCC weather channels (11 total), an IPX4 weather rating, and a 35 mile range.

Bluetooth Connectivity
editThe Bluetooth connectivity allows users to connect the T800 to an iOS or Android device to send messages, locations, control the radio settings, and more (however, you are not able to use Bluetooth for PTT[2]) even without a cellular connection using the T800 as a modem combined with the Talkabout app.[d]
Emergency Alert
editThe Emergency Alert Button activates a 30-second emergency transmission. It transmits a warbling alert signal for 8 seconds, followed by a voice transmission for 22 seconds.[e] However, it should only be used in the case of an emergency.
