Monika Elek Jones was born in Mableton, GA in 1995. In 2014, she attended the University of Georgia where she studied global politics and international affairs as a pre-law student. In 2015, she traveled to the United Nations headquarters in New York where she participated as a Youth Ambassador executing planning sessions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Graduating undergrad in 2018, Jones started her career at Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto, CA. Today, she is Tesla’s first manager of Engineering Programs in Vehicle Software, and one of only a handful of female engineering managers.
