Mohamadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh is an Iranian professional Kabaddi player who plays for the Iranian national Kabaddi team and Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi League. His strong defense and consistency make him one of the best defenders in the league. He was part of the Iranian Kabaddi team that won the silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games. Iran lost to India 29–33 in a controversial final.

Mohamadreza Shadloui was born on May 14, 2000, in Shazand, Iran. His father was a sportsman, and he was introduced to this game by his father and elder brother.[1] He completed his education at Shazand University, Iran. He is the most expensive foreign player in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League.[2]
Pro Kabaddi League career edit
Season 8 edit
Shadloui made his debut in 2021, in Season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League, for the club Patna Pirates.[3] He finished the season as the season's top defender with 89 points and helped it to the finals.[4] He also got the nickname 'Mr. Shadlu' for his powerful and consistent defense.[1]
Season 9 edit
He performed consistently in Season 9. His performance placed him as the second-best defender in the league, scoring 84 points in nine seasons.[5] He scored eight super tackles in a single game against Dabang Delhi KC. This is a record in PKL history.
Season 10 edit
Mohamadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh was released by the Patna Pirates in season 10. In the PKL 10 Session, Puneri Paltan bought Mohamadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh with the second highest bid of 2.35 crores.[6] Playing for Puneri Palton, so far he remains the number one defender in the league, with a total of 72 tackle points in 18 matches.[7][8]
International career edit
Mohamadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh plays for the Iranian national Kabaddi team. He was a part of the national team at the Asian Kabaddi Championships 2023 in Busan, where he played an important role in helping the team runner-up the tournament.[9] In the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou, he is the key player of a team. Shadloui performed well in this tournament and helped Iran take a silver medal.
