Misty Elizabeth Wells (Steward) (born November 13, 1967) is an American media personality, outdoor adventure seeker, professional angler, founder of a non-profit and businesswoman. She first gained media attention as an outdoor writer, then moved on to become a professional angler fishing on an all women's tournament team the Reel Darlins in 2013.[1] Later that year, she fished in the Key West Marlin Tournament with the team and won several divisions and 2nd place overall. [2] In (2014) Misty founded a non-profit called A Reel Future, taking children in foster care fishing, teaching conservation and creating a passion for the outdoors with America's next generation. [3] Misty took over writing the outdoor column for the Tampa Bay Times for a year in (2019), during that time she stared to create short videos that caught the attention of programming at what was then known as Fox Sports. [4] In (2019) Misty became the first female host of an outdoor show on Fox's Network. [5] Misty has since gone on to air her ground breaking show on several networks to include Discovery Channel, Discovery GO, Bally Sports, World Fishing Network, TCT, Waypoint TV, Carbon TV, Hunt Channel, Discover Florida Network and more airing to millions of viewers around the world (2019-present). [6] Misty's brand and show Let's Take it Outside is airing in over 220 countries and broadcast in over 50 languages.
