edit

Mircea Septilici was born on august 2, 1912 in the city of Bucharest.

In 1933, the volume of poetry An din patru primaveri, by Mircea Șeptilici, then a student at the "Matei Basarab" school in Bucharest, appeared. The volume was a re-edition of the one published by the Publishing House "Pavel Suru" in Bucharest in 1932, under the pseudonym Mihai Novac.[2]

Between the years 1948-1956 he was arrested, being accused of anti-communist activity, as a member of the "fugitives from Tămădău" group.[3]

He was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit 4th class (1967) "for special merits in the field of dramatic art".[4]

During the communist regime, he emigrated to Canada, settling in Montreal, where he died in 1989.[3]
