The Ministry of Justice of Malawi is a government ministry under the government of Malawi which is responsible for legal affairs. The range of responsibilities include drafting legislation, judicial process, developing legal framework, international treaties and participating in national, as well as prosecution and sentencing. The ministry also ensures the maintenance and improvement of Malawi's system of law and justice and its national security.

Organization

The executive head of the ministry is the Minister of Justice. This position is equivalent to Attorney General in other countries.
