Maximina Juson is a poet, bassist, content creator and filmmaker. In 2024, she premiered her directorial debut, One Person, One Vote?[1][2], at The Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, California winning the Programmers' Award for Best Documentary Feature.
Born in Manila, Philippines and raised in the United States, Maximina started her creative career as a poet, spoken word artist and bass player. As a bass player, she has played or toured with Caron Wheeler[3], Natalie Merchant[4], Saul Williams[5], Imani Uzuri[6], Burnt Sugar[7], Jessica Care Moore, Tamar-Kali, Nioka Workman, İlhan Erşahin.
