Maxime Saada is a French businessman. He is the Chairman and CEO of CANAL+ Group[1] Chairman of Studiocanal[2] Chairman and CEO of Dailymotion[3] Maxime Saada is also a member of the Vivendi Management Board.[4]

Maxime Saada was born on June 9, 1970 in Paris (France). He graduated from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) in 1992 and holds an MBA from HEC (1994)[5]

Career - CANAL+ Group edit

Maxime Saada joined CANAL+ Group in 2004 as EVP Strategy[6] . After contributing to the merger between Canal+ and TPS,[7] he successively held the positions of Marketing Director, Head of CANALSAT and Commercial Director.

In January 2011, he was appointed Executive Vice President of CANAL+ Group[8] in charge of Pay TV distribution in France. In April 2013, he was appointed Executive Vice President of CANAL+ Pay TV France[9] then Chief Executive Officer of CANAL+ Group,[2] in July 2015.[10] In January 2016, he was also appointed Chairman and CEO of Dailymotion[11]

In February 2018, Maxime Saada became Chairman of Studiocanal. During a keynote interview at Mipcom Cannes in Octobre 2023, Maxime Saada stressed his ambition to grow in-house production arm Studiocanal.[12]

In April 2018, he was appointed Chairman of CANAL+ Group's Management Board.[13][14] In June 2022,[15] Maxime Saada became a member of the Vivendi Management Board.[4][16]

In May 2023, he was appointed Chairman of Olympia [17], one of the most famous venue in Paris.

In October 2023, Maxime Saada received the Variety Vanguard Award at the Mipcom international content sales conference in Cannes. The award recognizes television industry leaders who have made a significant contribution to the global business of entertainment [18].

In February 2024, CANAL+ Group confirmed having submitted a non-binding indicative offer to South African media group Multichoice, to “create an African media business with enhanced scale, which can thrive in a competitive international market”. “We are ready to invest heavily in local production and local sports” said Maxime Saada.
