Matthew James Senior (born 3 September 2005) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a defender for Crewe Alexandra.
Club career edit
After playing for Connah's Quay Nomads[2] and Bury as a schoolboy, he would join Crewe following the latter being put into administration.[3] [4]
He played in the Crewe Alexandra academy youth team and made his debut for the club as a scholar in their EFL Trophy game against Newcastle United Under-21s at the Alexandra Stadium on 21 November 2023, coming on as a half-time substitute.[5]
International career edit
Senior made 4 appearances for Wales at Under-17 level in 2022, playing in their defeats against Turkiye[6] and Serbia[7] in the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualification before playing in two friendlies against France later in the year.[8]
