Achilli was born in Rome, Italy. Showing an early interest in technology and business, he pursued a degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan.[3]. It was during his university years that Achilli conceived the idea for Egomnia, driven by the desire to address the high unemployment rates among young graduates in Italy.[4]

Egomnia

edit

In March 2012, at the age of 20, Achilli launched Egomnia. The platform quickly gained popularity, attracting over 50,000 users in its initial months.[5]. Egomnia uses an algorithm to rank users based on their skills and experiences, promoting a merit-based approach to job recruitment.[6]

Egomnia's rapid growth and success led to widespread media coverage, with Achilli being featured on the cover of Panorama Economy magazine. The platform's user base expanded to over 850,000 users and more than 1,600 companies by 2024.[7]

Media and Public Speaking

edit

Achilli's entrepreneurial journey has been widely documented in the media. He has been a speaker at numerous conferences, including TEDx events.[8][9]. In 2016, his story was adapted into a biographical film titled The Startup, which dramatizes his rise as an entrepreneur and has contributed to the controversy surrounding his image in the Italian media.[10]
