Matt Zemon is an American author who is known for his book, Psychedelics for Everyone: A Beginner’s Guide to These Powerful Medicines for Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, PTSD, and Expanding Consciousness.[citation needed]

Early life and education edit

Zemon was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1] He studied at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond[1][2] and completed Master of science degree in psychology and neuroscience of mental health at King’s College London.[citation needed]

Zemon is married to Melissa, and they have two children.[1]

Zemon started his career by founding an American Indian entertainment company that produced a stage show titled Tribe, in collaboration with the producer of Rent.[1] The show received reviews in publications such as Variety.[1] Before entering the psychedelic realm, Zemon held leadership positions with Bernard,[3] LiveAnswer, BulkTV & Internet, The Original Canopy Tour, and Red Sky Productions. He also served as the chairman of a non-profit organization, Jobs4America.[2][4][5]

In 2022, Zemon published Psychedelics for Everyone: A Beginner’s Guide to These Powerful Medicines for Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, PTSD, and Expanding Consciousness.[6][7][8][9] The book achieved best-seller status in 19 categories on Amazon and received accolades including the Gold Award for Best Adult Nonfiction Book from the Independent Publisher Book Awards,[10] the Silver Award from the Nonfiction Authors Association,[11] the Living Now Gold Medal for Living Now Evergreen Health and Wellness,[12] and the Da Vinci Eye Award from the Eric Hoffer Book Awards.[13]

In 2023, Zemon published Beyond the Trip: A Journal for Psychedelic Preparation and Integration.[14]

Production career

In 1997 and 1998, Zemon conceived, co-wrote, and co-produced the stage show TRIBE.[15]

In 1997, Zemon also co-produced and co-arranged the music for Tonemah's album, "The Ghosts of St. Augustine."[citation needed]

In 2003 Zemon collaborated with Alejandro Ronceria and co-wrote and co-produced "A Jaguar's Tale," a production staged in Cozumel, Mexico, in 2003.[citation needed]
