Marti MacGibbon (born Lawrence, Kansas in 1954) is an American author. She is a globally-known expert on trauma resolution and addiction, as well as a global expert a Human Trafficking[1] working for the U.S. Department of State[2] to monitor and combat trafficking and is an expert to the U.S. Office for Victims of Crime.[3] She’s is the author of the American Medical Association Journal of Ethics, Human Trafficking, Mental Illness, and Addiction[2] called Avoiding Diagnostic Overshadowing (2017),[2] and is a contributing author of the Springer Nature 2020 university textbook Medical Perspectives on Human Trafficking in Adolescents: A Case-Based Guide.
