Draft:Marlborough Road Annexe

The Marlborough Road Annexe is a derelict building in Gillingham, Kent, England. It formerly housed a Royal Air Force Air Cadets squadron from 1951 to 2014. It closed on January 31st, 2014, and the building has since fallen into disrepair. The site has suffered from vandalism, including arson and fly-tipping, as well as unauthorized access, primarily by young people. Additionally, homeless individuals occupied the building, requiring eviction by Medway Council.

The last Conservative-led Medway Council proposed redevelopment plans within the Gillingham masterplan. These envisioned the Annexe demolished and becoming a "landmark building" and incorporating a new entrance to the adjacent Great Lines Heritage Park. However, as of 2024, these plans haven't materialized. The future of the site is unknown.
