Acquisition by Masco Corporation (1980s–1995) In the late 1980s, Masco Corporation, a home improvement and building products company, acquired Marge Carson.[6] The acquisition provided Marge Carson with financial support, allowing the company to expand its operations and enter new markets. While Masco's business approach differed from Marge Carson's luxury focus, the company continued to maintain its reputation for high-quality, customizable furniture.
Jim LaBarge Ownership (1995–2022) In 1995, Jim LaBarge, CEO of Marge Carson, led a management buyout from Masco Corporation. Under LaBarge's ownership, the company focused on craftsmanship and custom design, producing handcrafted furniture in the USA, Mexico and Indonesia.
