Career edit

While in college, I began working at the local Univision affiliate, and I learned the business, worked long hours, and moved up the ranks from doing translations to sales to Sales Manager.

At the age of 32, I became the youngest General Manager in the company's history.

Today, I'm a Senior Vice President at Entravision Communications, a global media company.

Political positions edit

Abortion edit

As a child to a single mother, she is happy her life was spared.

National Security edit

National Security, Starting With Border Security

A strong national security begins with border security. The impacts of an open and unsecure border have been catastrophic as it impacts our economy, safety, and commerce.

We’ve had enough of Biden’s border crisis as known criminals enter as they please, crime floods our streets, and fentanyl flows freely. As your Congresswoman, securing our border and curbing gang violence, crime, and the flow of drugs is my top priority. I will work to end asylum loopholes and make it clear that any path to our great nation must be a legal one.

I’m not your typical Republican who merely talks about the border - I’ve lived what it means to come to this country legally, which is why I take it so personally that we have open border policies endangering our communities.

It’s time to stop talking, and do the work to secure our border. Too much is at stake.

Economy edit

An Economy that Works Instead of Sputters

Our economy is flailing. We overspend, over regulate, and over tax, all while families and small businesses struggle to make ends meet. I speak to people all across our community that can barely afford to keep up with the crushing prices here in Newsom’s California, let alone pursue the pillars of the American Dream like purchasing a house or opening and growing a small business.

As a local businesswoman, I know that radical Democrats are pushing policies that only hurt the economy’s ability to get back-on-track. My promise to you is that I will work to lower taxes, get spending under control so we can end inflation, and create an economy that allows us to thrive, innovate, and not live paycheck-to-paycheck.

Education edit

A Parent’s Place in Our Children’s Education

The government has decided their place is in our schools, indoctrinating our children and pushing a radical agenda instead of actually teaching. It’s led to a system where parents are sidelined and our schools are failing.

I will fight for parental rights and never allow the government to co-parent our children. Schools should be the one place where politics is left behind and we focus on preparing students for their futures.

California school districts have lost their way, and I won’t sit silent as our children suffer. I promise to fight for parents and ensure our schools live up to the standard future generations deserve.

Law Enforcement edit

A Safer Community

We are living in a state where criminals are emboldened, even supported, by the extreme agenda of radical Democrats. You can’t go to eat or go to shop without the worry of smash-and-grabs or car-jackings.

This is a result of the Left’s “Defund the Police” movement that has handcuffed our own law enforcement. We’ve made it impossible for police to do their jobs and enforce the laws that keep our families safe.

I will not stand for this type of lawlessness. I will work to empower and support our police and ensure that criminals are punished for the crimes they commit. Soft-on-crime politicians got us into this mess, and I intend to do what I can as your Congresswoman to end this crisis.

Personal life edit

Margarita Wilkinson is a conservative Republican, a local businesswoman, and a political outsider who is running for Congress.

She grew up in El Paso, Texas along the US-Mexico border. She remembers as a child my family turning on the local television news and seeing how gang violence, crime, drugs, and trafficking were prevalent - and they still very much are today decades later - due to the lack of border security.

Her mom instilled in me some core values - that an honest day's work will lead to opportunities and a better future. While in college, she began working at the local Univision affiliate. She learned the business, worked long hours, and moved up the ranks from doing translations to sales to Sales Manager.

At the age of 32, she became the youngest General Manager in the company's history. Today she is a Senior Vice President at Entravision Communications, a global media company.
