Mamiwota is an afro-pop single by Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez.[1] It was released under Chocolate City music.[2][3]

Background edit

It was released on 31 August, 2018. Mamiwota includes a feature with Oxlade[4] along with a music video which was directed by TG Omori and premiered[5] on 28 June, 2019.[6][7][8]

In an interview with Red Bull, the featured artist in Mamiwota, Oxlade, stated that “Mamiwota brought me back on Twitter, because I had quit music at that point in time, and it made me believe that people fuck with my voice”.[9] He released a remix of the song in February 2019 featuring Vector and Moelogo.[10] The remixed version was included on Blaqbonez's extended play, Bad Boy Blaq Re-Up in 2019.[11]
