Maati Se Bandhi Dor (transl. Knot Tied With Soil) is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 27 May 2024 on StarPlus and streams on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced under Sobo Films, the series stars Rutuja Bagwe and Ankit Gupta.[1]
Plot
editVaijanti, a village girl crosses path with Ranvijay, a city boy. Vaijanti wishes to get married with someone who likes her the way she is, while Ranvijay finds her to be too manly. Ranvijay is in love with Jaya, Vaijanti's younger sister but is forced to marry Vaijanti. Thus begin, Ranvijay and Vaijanti's journey, where they struggle to accept their marriage.

Production
editRutuja Bagwe was cast to play the female lead, Vaijanti, a village girl, marking her Hindi TV debut.[2][3] Ankit Gupta was cast to play the male lead, Ranvijay. For the role, Gupta had to learn Marathi and loose 7kgs.[4][5]
Resham Shrivardhan and Shiwani Chakraborty were cast to play Vaijanti's sisters, Jaya and Kaveri respectively.[6][7] Gaurav Mukesh was cast in a negative role, as Jaykant.[8]
