Speaking in tongues and other miraculous signs and wonders dissolved from about 54 A.D. to 95 A.D. and have not been genuine since, have not had power since (~63-73A.D.). Other gifts of Paul and Peter, still are part of the Spirit’s indwelling. We live Pentecostals and Charismatics and do that loving, partly by correcting. Otherwise, they will keep hurting their eternal reward(s). We Christians live by faith and not sight, 2Cor5:7. Ps and Cs live by sight and practice their false Christianity with arms raise straight up to praise, and wrists upturned - to “receive” - they would say. This violates John 6:63 (flesh doesn’t help at all) and Heb 8:14 OldTst obsolete. Arms pointed up and wrists upturned wouldn’t violate so much, if Ps and Cs had not infiltrated weak-leadership meetings and Have TAUGHT THAT ARM HIGH/WRISTS UPTURNED IS THE RIGHT WAY, THE BETTER WAY, THE ONLY GOD-PLEASING WAY. This teaching, infiltrating is abhorrent! John 2;21-25 apostles knew that Jesus was beginning to teach that Christ’s Word, (Ro 10:17) not his miraculous signs and wonders was the now (about 54A.D. or 95 A.D.) to the future (96 A.D. all the way to the 2nd Coming) … TRUST of all Christians everywhere. Woman at well, Jn 4 —- her testimony and Christ’s Word/words, not miracles…. JOHN CHOSE THE WORD ‘word/testimony’ - ON PURPOSE! The official plus son also John 4, … “word.” John 6 —- the people were crazed with the thought of miraculous and wonderful…, … so much so, that their craziness was in the form of seeking to make Christ King BY FORCE! This is what miracles can do and do do: cause disobedience! Onward, the Lazarus narrative: “I am glad I was not there that you may believe.” His closest followers and all who would and will ever believe would rather live Jesus’s miracles than love Him. His Providence is what God wants us to love Him for and trust Him for, … trust what He says. He loathes us when we seek, grovel after, trust in signs and wonders. Jn 12:37 is self-explanatory; in chap 15, John points out that the Jewish craziness for miracles was actually hatred toward God! Finally, John 20:22-21:2 teach that Thomas was slighted by Jesus, given the ‘cold-shoulder’ - for his living BY SIGHT. 21:2 - Thomas being second in the list is/was proven to have repented. His respect by Jesus and the apostles, had risen DUE TO HIS REPENTANCE. NATHANAEL (Bar-tholomew was surname) TOO, B/C he wanted to be deceitful and manipulative, particularly in sales techniques, but he continued to be without all that guile, even if his fleshly self was tempted toward. Well then, 1 Cor 12:1 teaches that ‘tongues’ at Corinth was Pagan-Gentile born and not part of apostolic succession. The apostles did not endorse tongues and miraculous signs/healings… after about 63 A.D. on to the end of time as humans now know it. P and C tongues is modeled after Corinth lack-of-power-tongues. And I believe that I have been filled with the Spirit the whole time I’ve been writing you this. I listen to and for the voice of the Spirit, gracious and truthful as it is, each waking moment of my life. Well, I worshipfully try to anyway, for evangelism, spouse love, child-rearing and all else. So I lead by His lead; follow by Him as well. John 16. Christ’s Holy Spirit discloses/declares to me/us all the moments of the day (see that John 16 part where it has “disclosed/declares” three times in a row.
