A loafing shed is like a man cave, but for horses. Or sometimes cattle or other livestock. Often found on raches or farms in parts of the United States, perhaps especially where the sun really beats down (techical term).
There is one at Fort Rock Valley Historical Homestead Museum.
Australia must have them. This firm in Australia offers calving barns and is perhaps equating them to loafing sheds. It notes that calving barns are new in Australia.
