The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (abbreviated as CPI(M)/CPIM/CPM) is a communist political party in India. It is the largest communist party in India in terms of membership and electoral seats and one of the six national parties of India.

Regional alliances edit

CPI(M) will contest election being a member of United Opposition Forum (Assam), Mahagathbandhan (Bihar), Left Democratic Front (Kerala), Secular Progressive Alliance (Tamil Nadu), Secular Democratic Forces (Tripura), Samajwadi Gathbandhan (Uttar Pradesh) and Sanjukta Morcha (West Bengal).[1][2][3][4][5][6]

It will lead Left Democratic Front (Kerala), Secular Democratic Forces (Tripura) and Sanjukta Morcha (West Bengal) among the aforesaid alliances.
