Lee Jee-eun (Korean: 이지은, born July 3, 1977 in Seoul, Korea) is a Korean picture book author and illustrator. She graduated from the University of Brighton, UK with an M.A. in Sequential Design/illustration. After debuting with her work Paper Dad, Lee published Iparapa Yamooyamoo in 2021, which won the Ragazzi Grand Prize in the comics-early reader category at the Bologna Children Book Fair.[1] The Legend of the Friend won the Best Children's Book Award at Taiwan's 83rd Haoshu Dajia Du (Chinese: 好書大家讀) in 2022. Lee’s notable works include Iparapa Yamooyamoo, The Legend of the Red Bean Shaved Ice, The Legend of the Friend, and Suba, the Sun King.
