Draft:Lee James Corwin

Lee James Corwin was born on October 21st, 1984 in Michigan City, Indiana to James and Rozanne (Martinez) Corwin. He is Filipino-American and grew up in New Buffalo, Michigan. He attended elementary and high school there before heading to Western Michigan University. While in high school, Lee participated in Varsity Golf and Varsity baseball for all four years in school. He was also on the freshman basketball team. He was on varsity basketball from his sophomore to senior years. In school, he was also on the science olympiad and French Honor Society teams.

After high school, Lee took off one year of schooling to work at his dads' (James) used car dealership and garage. Here he would start to save money for college and its' expenses. While working for his dad, he would often take charge in car and motorcycle sales, marketing, and general mechanic duties. He also would go into Chicago to purchase and sell vehicles at auctions, then tow them back himself. On one occasion, Lee was at a dealer auction with his dad when he accidentally placed a bid on a vehicle. He had to continue with the purchase and made it his goal to get this car sold quickly to lessen any repercussions from his dad. During this time off of school, Lee would fall victim to a garage fire and suffered 2nd degree burns on his lower body. Up to present time, some of these scars can still be seen. This was Lees' second major injury of his life. His first was when he was a junior in high school. In that injury, Lee was playing a basketball game for his high school team. He was fighting for a rebound when someone came down with an elbow and landed on his right eye. This accident would cause Lee to fracture his right orbital bone, lose vision for a few days and gave him a concussion. When his vision came back, Lee would have triple vision in his right eye. Lee and his family went to specialist at the University of Michigan to undergo test. He learned that part of the eye muscle was trapped in the fractured orbital bone and he would have to use special prism glasses. Luckily for Lee, his vision came back normal a few months later.
